Rahul Gandhi alleges Trinamool-BJP ‘understanding’, says lack of ED-CBI action suggests a political ‘setting’.

Rahul Gandhi campaigned in Serampore on Saturday ahead of the second phase of the elections . There, he said, “What Modi is doing all over India, Mamata ji and Trinamool are doing the same in Bengal. Narendra Modi does nothing for the common people. He works for two-three industrialists, whose profits go to Modi and the BJP. Here Mamata ji is also doing the same. He has destroyed industry, increased unemployment.” Rahul also claimed that during Mamata’s tenure, industry in the state has come to an end, unemployment has increased, and the intimidation of Trinamool goons has increased. In his words, “If you want a job in Bengal, you have to have a relationship with Trinamool. Trinamool goons work for the party people. They do not work for the common people. Earlier, Ambassador cars were manufactured here in the Hindustan Motors factory. First the Left and then Mamataji have ended it.” After this, Rahul raised the issue of corruption. He is heard saying, “It should not be said, but just like Modi, Mamata is no less corrupt. Trinamool did Saradha chit fund, did Rose Valley, stole Rs 19,000 crore from Saradha, stole Rs 6,600 crore from Rose Valley. Coal smuggling, goons are imposing taxes on the entire Bengal. The way Narendra Modi spreads violence throughout the country, Trinamool goons are doing it here. They catch and kill our people. They spread violence against Congress.”
