Jagannath Temple
The Jagannath Temple of Mahesh, Serampur is one of the oldest and most revered Hindu temples in West Bengal, dedicated to Lord Jagannath along with his siblings Balabhadra and Subhadra. Located in the historic town of Serampore in the Hooghly district, this temple is a major spiritual and cultural landmark that has preserved centuries-old traditions of devotion and worship. The present structure was rebuilt in 1755 by Nayanchand Mallick, inspired by the famous Jagannath Temple of Puri, after the original shrine was lost to the river Ganga.
